Kent Creative Awards 2019

It is with deep regret that we have decided to cancel the Kent Creative Awards 2019, as we did with the 2018 Awards, due to a lack of interest, sponsorship and funding. It is a painful and disappointing decision to make.

The reasons for this are multiple and complex. The result is that we do not have the resources needed to produce the quality large event that Kent and its creative sector deserve.

We know from the excellent feedback received at the past award ceremonies that celebrating arts and culture in Kent is valuable and worthwhile. Arts and culture are crucial to our society and to ourselves, bringing people together, encouraging creativity, lifting our spirits, raising the profile of places… I could go on. So, we will keep working for the arts and culture of Kent through a number of events and projects.

Again, I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience that this decision might cause and I am ever so grateful to those who have provided their support and those who have entered. We’ll keep going and we’ll see you around…

Best regards
Nathalie Banaigs

Why enter the Kent Creative Awards: How awards can help you succeed in your creative work

Tips for your submission: Knowing these 14 tips will make your entry to Awards look great

Nathalie Banaigs, Director of Kent Creative

“Kent is rich with arts and culture and I strongly believe they deserve to be celebrated. Many people work hard to entertain and inspire us around the county. This is about congratulating them, recognizing their value and boosting their confidence a little. One evening to be happy…  The more people enter, the bigger the event, the more we talk about it all, the more promotion they all get...”

Sir Roger Gale, MP for North Thanet:

“I am delighted that we will be welcoming The Kent Creative Awards 2019 to Dreamland in Margate. The creative arts industries are a vital and a growing part of the economy and they should be recognised in this way.”

Eddie Kemseley, Dreamland Margate CEO:

“We are delighted to be hosting the Kent Creative Awards for 2019. Promoting creativity and cultural growth in our community has always been a priority for Dreamland, and we look forward to honouring our county’s creatives, artists and cultural advocates in November.”
